The plan as it stands
No date has been set. At 20 million recorded pledges, the campaign will begin formal consultation with organisations and unions to discuss and propose a possible global date and organise towards a first three-day action. Pledging continues towards our long-term ambition of 150 million. Reaching 20 million does not automatically announce a date or call the action. A decision needs a clear plan, named people taking responsibility, geographic reach, organisational support, local legal and worker-safety review, and time for everyone to prepare.
A later action would need its own announcement. Your pledge never commits you automatically to another three days.
At 20 million pledges, consultation and planning begin
7 October 2026
Following feedback that 150 million could feel like a barrier to progress, the campaign now uses 20 million recorded pledges as the point to begin formal consultation with organisations and unions, discuss and propose possible global dates, and organise towards a first action. Pledging continues towards the 150 million long-term ambition. This replaces the earlier 30 million fallback. No date or stoppage is triggered automatically. Earlier pledges remain expressions of support; they do not become agreement to a different date or action.
Read the current plan and decide whether it still reflects your support. You can check, change or remove a pledge with your private code.
Help others find the announcement
When a date is agreed, supporters and organisations can help spread it. Check the announcement here before sharing dates or instructions attributed to Three Days Down.
